The Journey Behind MVP3 Music Group
Marie Pizano’s remarkable journey to founding MVP3 Music Group has been shaped by her unwavering dedication to the music industry and her ability to craft a trademark that transcends genres. Through MVP3’s various media platforms, Marie has built a company that not only celebrates artistry but also empowers the individuals behind the music. Along the way, she’s been mentored by some of the most iconic names in music, including Al Bell of STAX and Knox Phillips of Sun Records. These influential relationships have not only shaped her career but have given her the network and knowledge to open doors in the music industry that others might find difficult to reach. Over her 20-year career, Marie has empowered and managed more than 12 musicians, guiding them toward success while learning valuable lessons about the industry.
Through her experiences, she’s learned the importance of perseverance, staying true to her values, and, above all, building a company that radiates positivity and change. Today, Marie leads MVP3 Music Group with the same fierce determination and spirit that has fueled her every move, and she continues to work toward building an entertainment powerhouse that opens doors for independent artists.
In the early 2000s, Marie worked tirelessly in Nashville, and Memphis managing musicians, securing deals, and investing in the Savannah Music Group. Her journey has been filled with challenges, but each obstacle has made her stronger and more determined to create a lasting impact in the entertainment world.
Now, as she moves forward, her mission remains steadfast: to adapt her approach and help independent artists achieve financial stability and long-term success.
With a keen understanding of the financial side of the business, Marie is very selective about who she partners with, both as investors and artists. “It’s about finding the right people, those who share the same vision and work ethic. I’m very particular about who I work with,” she explains. “I approach this industry with an old-school mentality but with new-school strategies. It’s about building relationships and creating win-win opportunities for artists to thrive.” Behind the scenes, Marie works tirelessly, often leaving people wondering how she manages to get things done. But her results speak for themselves. With the release of new artist Wade Quinton’s debut single, "Don’t Waste Your Time," scheduled for December 2024, she’s already off to a great start. The single will be produced in collaboration with Kent Wells, who’s known for his work with Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire, alongside a roster of A-list musicians. With offices in both Memphis and Nashville, MVP3 Music Group is poised to bring fresh energy to the ever-changing music industry.
The story of MVP3 Music Group began long before the company’s formation. It started with a concert that Marie organized for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital called "Rock for Hope" at the New Daisy Theatre in Memphis. From there, a series of serendipitous encounters led her to meet Bret Michaels, Billy Falcon (who writes for Bon Jovi), and the legendary Kenny Loggins, each of whom would go on to inspire her with their guidance, mentorship and wisdom. Her vision for the future of music was shaped by these experiences, and today, Marie is proud to see her dreams coming to fruition.
Marie’s journey has not been easy, especially as a woman navigating a male-dominated industry. “Oh, I have my stories,” she says with a smile, “but I’m not here to play the victim. I’m here to empower others, and I’ll make sure justice is served when it’s needed. I don’t change. I’m all about empowerment.” Her combination of financial acumen, experience in marketing and law, and a heart of gold make her one of the toughest cookies in the industry. Despite being underestimated, she has continued to rise above challenges, finding her tribe and giving back to the community. “I’ve been underestimated, and many have tried to destroy, block, steal and distract. I know they’re wondering how I’m still standing,” she says. “Still I rise.”
Marie’s approach is simple but powerful: “It’s all about the music. It’s about collaboration and creating music that speaks to people’s souls. It's about truth, integrity, and pure grit. The music should always come first. We need to bring back the spirit of collaboration, like the days of STAX, where artists worked together regardless of their background.”
The future is bright for MVP3 Music Group, but Marie remains cautious, steady, and, above all, strategic. She’s a warrior in this industry, and her journey is only just beginning. “There’s a lot ahead of me, but I’m no fool,” she says. “I’ve got a spirit that keeps me pushing forward, and I’ll help others find their ‘yes’ in this industry the right way.” Stay tuned for the debut of MVP3 Music Group’s new country singer-songwriter, Wade Quinton. His upcoming single, “Don’t Waste Your Time,” will be released digitally on December 12, 2024, and he will also appear in the movie Hillbilly Bible, featuring Wade and many other well-known artists and actors.
She started MVP3 /UROC Music and Publishing in 2015, but she feels this time around is just the beginning of something big!
The best is yet to come!
